Tough Road Continues For Wild

The road gets tougher as the Wild faceoff in Tampa against the NHL's best team by far according to the standings at least.

Just to put it into perspective the second place Bruins are in the midst of a 17 game streak where they have not lost in regulation (14-0-3) yet still trail the Lightnung by a mere 17 points.

The Wild however have their own seven game streak without losing in regulation(5-0-2) despite their two straight shootout defeats to Nashville. There us no denying the fact that the Wild are a much faster, energetic team than they were just a few weeks ago. They are playing a more exciting brand of hockey stretching the ice and creating better scoring opportunities.

The troubling fact is that despite the resurgence, the Wild special teams have both been terrible.

That needs to change and there is no time like the present to get that turned around. Tampa in all of the glory, has been prone to giving up goals, the trouble of course is they have the juggernaut offense to win a track meet on every night.

The Wild get their game up for the league's best and I fully expect the boys to give Tampa all they can handle tonight.

It's Always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
