The Arizona Coyotes Are In the Playoffs (for now)

The Arizona Coyotes beat the St. Louis Blues last night and in doing so, they've moved into eight place in the NHL Playoff Race.

I've been covering the Coyotes since 2013 and this is the first time their season hasn't been over by Halloween. It's a pretty cool feeling for me, let alone their fans.

What do you even say about this team, and especially about the play of Darcey Kuemper?

Its sort of funny, but when the Coyotes gave away Devon Dubnyk to the Wild, he promptly became the goalie the Coyotes were searching for for years, but the same thing happened when the Coyotes took Kuemper off the Wild last summer.

Good times!

Kuemper has been lights out, and the Coyotes have done it all with #1 goalie and #1 centre on the IR, not to mention the dozens of other injuries they've suffered in what can only be described as Mr. Burns Softball Team-esque.

At one point, they even signed former Yankee Steve Sax to play defense, and he was later arrested the very same day.

OEL played through a case of gigantism.

You know how it goes.

The Coyotes are only three points back of Dallas for seventh, with a game in hand. They are only three wins behind the Golden Shower/Knights.

Then again, Minnesota, Colorado, Chicago and Edmonton are right there.

Or as I call them (respectively) the team with the dumb new GM, Colorado, Phoenix Junior and Dead to Me.

That's right, let the trash talk begin, __ __.

Remember when I told you this team would make the playoffs ?

Just kidding, remember when I declared their season over five separate times?

Oh man, the fun times we have. Seriously though, this is a surprising development, but it's amazing.

Howler, the team's mascot, had to have his stomach pumped last night. All I can say is that thank god they weren't playing Philly - had he been partying with Gritty, he almost certainly would have been killed.

The Coyotes will try to keep the good times going tomorrow when they play the Ducks for the 47th time this year.
