Chasing a rumor that Dustin Byfuglien may be out for much longer than most thought...Stay tuned.

Last Night we had our worst night yet, going 1-6, proving once again that hockey is the hardest sport to project. We got the Anaheim game right, but we had the wrong side on ALL FOUR games that went to OT. If those games go the other way, we go 5-2.

Season Stats
40 Correctly Picked Winners
32 Wrong

Nights with .500 or better records: 6
Nights with more wrong than right: 4

Tonight's Projected Points:

CHI 2 OVER VAN in OT
WPG over LA in OT
SJ over VGK in OT
AZ over Tampa

Yup...Arizona over Tampa...How?

Do Matchups Matter?

Well, first off the Yotes are playing some really great hockey and coming in hot...but the really big factor driving this is the team matchup history... Over the last three years in 5 games, Arizona has won 4 of 5, outscoring Tampa 22-12 in the process including this season defeating Tampa 7-1 in Arizona.

Matchups are a crazy thing in hockey and this one is easily the craziest. This year, Arizona is a good team, but the two previous seasons they struggled big time....and yet that entire time they have had the number of the Lightning...who have been one of the best teams in hockey.

Will that continue tonight?

It comes down to the classic question. "What kind if hockey fan are you?"

Are you a "glass is half full or glass is half empty fan?"

Some will say, "Arizona has Tampa's number" while others will say, "This just means Tampa is due."

On which side do you come down?

New Projected Standings:

Changes. Very big win for the Flyers over Pittsburgh despite the devastating loss Friday to the Leafs... The Oilers loss to Vegas pretty much seals their fate...Columbus keeps getting points and rising...The Islanders win in Minnesota was HUGE for them too..In the Actual standings the Islanders have climbed back on top...the schedule doesn't favor them to remain there however.

Out West...the key battle for Home ice between St. Louis and Nashville found the Predators gaining momentum...
