- If not signing Matt Hendricks decimated your locker room that badly, there were bigger issues than Matt Hendricks.

- Any time Bob Stauffer pumps a player like Jay Bouwmeester, I immediately start to prepare myself for when the Oilers inevitably give him a big dollar contract.

- If Edmonton could give up a player like Matt Benning or Ethan Bear along with Lucic and get a 7th round or future considerations in return... I do that in a heartbeat.

- St Louis is a good team that had a long string of bad luck...the Oilers are a bad team that have occassionaly had good luck. Management is going to look at the rare good luck times the team has had and expect they can do that long term next season with no changes.

- I am not an insider; however I have been led to believe the Oilers are going to, or have already given Ken Hitchcock a three year extension with the organization. Not as a head coach, but in some sort of development or management status.

- Tobias Rieder is finally scratched tonight. He will earn a PTO with another team next season and score 10 goals. At least one Oilers fan will whine and moan and say they should have resigned him.

- The Condors are rolling through the last couple months and there are real NHL prospects on that team. Keep them there and do not pen them into the lineup for next season.

- Oilers lose tonight 4-2
