Great night of hockey last night on a night that had plenty of playoff feel to it...here are some of the good and bad...

The Good...

Montreal...

"The Habs played a great road game" as they say, and for a young team who has had issues defending this year they shut down a Flyers team desperate for a win. The Canadiens last night showed how well they are coached. The Flyers have been a team able to get plenty of offense when they needed it this year, but not last night.

Carolina...

They were a minute away from losing this one in regulation...and then Justin Williams, Mr. Clutch, found a way to tie it, while Mrazek made some amazing saves to keep the Canes in this against the Pens...The Hurricanes have a whole lot of Cinderella in them right now.

Colorado...

In a vital game between two teams fighting for their lives out West, the Avalanche came out flying against the Wild...after that Grubrauer really took over...and when he wasn't there the Wild had all kinds of close calls and bad puck luck.

Nashville...

The Preds needed to find their playoff form and facing a struggling team in Toronto Pekka Rinne came up huge. Wayne Simmonds got his first as a Pred. Just what the doctor ordered.

The Bad...

The Flyers

They have a flu bug running through the team and they looked tired and were just completely frustrated by the Habs tight checking...The Flyers were down 2-0 going into the third, got one, hit two posts, and almost found their way back, but this team's slow game starts continue to haunt them. They have managed a ton of comebacks, but last night they learned what playing with fire is all about.

The Leafs...

Toronto continues to stumble...this time they played better defensively, but couldn't beat Rinne.

The Penguins...

The Penguins defense and their inability to hold leads has them in a precarious spot right now...Last night they couldn't come close to holding off the Hurricanes when Carolina pulled their goalie. This after giving up a late goal to Philly two night's before and losing in OT.

The Oilers...

When you can't get out of your own way, the last thing you want to see is the Blues right now...
