Game 76 Preview: FLYERS @ CAPITALS

Interim head coach Scott Gordon's Philadelphia Flyers (36-32-8) are home on Wednesday to take on Mike Babcock's Toronto Maple Leafs (45-25-6). Game time at the Wells Fargo Center is 7:00 p.m. EDT.

The game will be televised on NBCSP. The radio broadcast can be found on 97.5 FM The Fanatic with an online simulcast at FlyersRadio247.com.

This is the third and final meeting of the season series between the teams. After sweeping the season series last year, the Flyers are 0-2-0 this season against Toronto and have given up a combined 13 goals and 91 shots in the two games. On Nov. 15 in Toronto, the Flyers held a 5-2 lead late in the second period but went on to suffer a devastating 7-6 regulation loss that dealt a severe blow to Philly's second-half playoff spot push.

Flyers Outlook

The Flyers are 21-10-2 over their last 33 games but just 2-5-0 in the last seven. The team suffered back-to-back regulation losses to the New York Islanders (home) and Washington Capitals (road) over the weekend. The Flyers could be mathematically eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoff race by the end of Wednesday night.

Carter Hart will get the start in goal for the Flyers. Samuel Morin will be in the Flyers' lineup for the first time season after suffering a torn ACL in the Calder Cup playoffs last spring. The Flyers will dress seven defensemen. Phil Varone and Justin Bailey will be healthy scratches.

Maple Leafs Outlook

The Leafs, who are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games, are all but locked into third place in the Atlantic Division and a first-round playoff series with the second-place Boston Bruins. Toronto enters this game coming off a 7-5 win over the Florida Panthers on Monday.

Frederik Andersen will get the starting nod in goal for the Maple Leafs. There are some lineup changes from Monday on the fourth line and third defense pair:Tyler Ennis and Igor Ozhiganov are in, Trevor Moore and Justin Holl are out.

Defenseman Jake Gardiner remains day-to-day with a foot injury.
