It took three overtimes, 110 minutes for a team to score a goal. It was Omsk's Alexei Bondarev who beat UFA's Juha Metsola from the blue line to clinch a spot for Avangard in the Gagarin cup final.



Igor Bobkov in Avangard's net turned away 36 shots on goal while Metsola faced 70 and took care of 69 of those.

Avangard's opponent will be decided on Thursday when CSKA and SKA will meet in game 7.
