CSKA Moscow team earned their spot in the Gagarin Cup final for the 2nd consecutive year where they will meet Bob Hartley and his Avangard.

In the deciding game 7 of Gagarin Cup conference final, CSKA took their home advantage beating SKA with a score 3:1 clinching their spot in the final.

The first goal of the game came in 26th minute when Linden Vey gave CSKA the lead. Only two minutes later Anton Slepyshev made it 2:0. Just 31 seconds later Sergei Plotnikov used a flop from Ilya Sorokin to pull his team back within one.

The end of the game wasn't what many would expect. Although SKA had an on-ice advantage through the remainder of the game they couldn't get the equalizer. Even more, so that CSKA score an empty net goal to clinch a victory.

The Gagarin Cup final will begin on Saturday.
