Team Russia recall multiple NHL players to prepare for World Championships

Team Russia has announced the first players that have been recalled and accepted an invitation to join their squad for the training camp to prepare for the upcoming World Championships.

More players to be added at a later date, depending on the outcome of NHL playoffs, KHL finals and Russian B team exhibition games.

Goalkeepers: Alexander Georgiev (New York Rangers).

Defensemen: Artyom Zub, Dinar Khafizullin, Vladislav Gavrikov (all SKA), Artyom Sergeev (Salavat Yulaev), Ilya Lyubushkin (Lokomotiv), Yegor Yakovlev (New Jersey Devils), Ivan Provorov (Philadelphia Flyers).

Forwards: Ilya Kovalchuk (Los Angeles Kings), Vladislav Namestnikov (New York Rangers), Artyom Anisimov (Chicago Blackhawks), Evgeny Dadonov (Florida Panthers), Alexander Burmistrov, Vladimir Tkachyov, Alexander Kadeykin (both Salavat Yulaev), Nikita Gusev, Sergei Plotnikov, Nail Yakupov, Alexander Barabanov (all SKA).
