If it wasn’t, then there is little doubt that the Vegas Knights should be headed to Colorado today, and many out there are saying it wasn’t.
I believe it was a penalty. Clearly it wasn’t a major penalty if Pavelski doesn’t get seriously hurt, and as much as we may all hate it, the reality is that what happens as a result of the penalty matters. It always has and it always will. It is the kind of thing that separates us from the animals. Our human nature will ALWAYS be a factor.
Had this play not happened there would be a whole lot of talk about the Eakins goal that was clearly a high stick...above the crossbar, that goal being allowed to stand changed the game dynamic in a big way.
