The Blues answered the bell last night following the disappointing OT loss in game 3.

A tribute to head coach, Craig Berube, who has kept his team focused regardless of any outside distraction that may come their way.

The Chief handled the post game interview questions following game 3, concerning the controversial OT winner, perfectly. Not wasting time or energy answering the question, choosing to deflect it back to the press to answer their own question.

Berube knew it was over and he must focus on game 4 and getting his team into the right frame to even the series at home before a critical game 5 back in San Jose.

Leaving all debate of should the goal have counted or not to be debated by the people who matter least. The fans and press can argue all day long, and in the end it will not change a thing.

What makes sports so fun is the debates and discussions around the outcomes and what may have been. The fact is that goal counted because the hand pass was missed in the ice when it occurred.

That will not be the last hand pass that goes unnoticed as mistakes occur in every game and will forever. There is no telling that the Blues would have won the game had that hand pass been called and the goal nullified.

We love sports because of the competition, the unexpected, and the unbelievable. Debating the outcomes or what could have been comes with the territory when it comes to rooting for our favorite teams.

In the end the respect lies with those that overcome adversity and find the way to be successful. Craig Berube and the Blues executed last night and evened the series. I am sure that mo Joe within the Blues locker room will mention a game 3 controversy moving forward.

Because it's the Cup!
