Wide Open NHL, What Do Wild Need

Seeing how the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs have played and just how even the league really is, what would it take to get the Wild into a Conference Final or even to the Stanley Cup?

Of course the obvious answer is more scoring depth or just any kind of offense for that matter. However the Wild are now that far removed from being one of the top offensive clubs just two seasons ago.

I would have said goaltending depth, and then I look at St. Louis riding Jordan Binnington and hiw the Hurricanes made it with Petr Mrazek. Devan Dubnyk is capable, although a more complete backup would be in order. No offense to Stalock, he just is not the guy to ride for any length of time.

The Wild defense is mobile and with Matt Dumba back in the lineup he makes the team a whole lot better alone.

So now that Paul Fenton is making his mark and he has players bearing the end of their window of opportunity, what moves can he make that will justify the Wild taking a huge leap forward?
