In this edition of the hotstove, we share our predictions for the Stanley Cup Final between St. Louis and Boston.

Todd Cordell

Boston in six games.

Simply put, I think they're the better team across the board. They've controlled a larger share of the expected goals at 5v5. They've generated chances at a higher clip on the power play and suppressed them at a better rate while down a man. As well as Jordan Binnington has played in recent months, I also think the Bruins have the edge between the pipes with Conn Smythe favorite Tuukka Rask.

I don't expect the Bruins to steamroll the Blues by any means, but I think they have too many edges to overcome barring a PDO bender from the latter.

Trevor Shackles

I think the Bruins are the better team and I have to admit that it will feel strange if the Blues come home with the Cup, but I'm going to take them anyway. I think it will be an incredibly close series that goes to game seven, but St. Louis will simply have a better series. Sometimes there's no real explanation for why one team wins and another doesn't, and I'm thinking this will be one of those instances. Jordan Binnington has been great this season but Tuukka Rask has also been God-like in the playoffs. The Bruins top forwards consisting of David Pastrnak, Patrice Bergeron, and Brad Marchand are unstoppable, and their defense is very solid as well. Despite all that, my gut is leaning towards the Blues. I don't think they were better than San Jose, but they were somehow able to win that series in six games. Say hello to your Conn Smythe winner, Jaden Schwartz.

James Tanner

The Boston Bruins will win the Cup. Does anyone anywhere think otherwise? On one hand, we have the pre-season favorite Blues who stumbled out of the gate and then became the very best story in the NHL in a long time.

On the other, we have the Alabama North Bruins, from the city which sold its soul to the devil in exchange for unlimited championships.

I assume the Bruins will win in four, but who knows? Satan isn't that reliable and he could renege on the deal.
