Magnus Pääjärvi - previously of the Ottawa ''Senators'' won't be sticking around to play for the organization.

Per Wayne Scanlan the 28-year-old won't receive a contract offer from the Sens and is hitting the UFA market.

While it's still unclear if and when any other NHL teams would express any interest in players services, there's a word that the player is gathering interest from KHL team that drafted him - ''Lokomotiv'' Yaroslavl appears to be ready to give him a chance in Europe. The ''Oilers'' connection is sure stirring the pot.

Not only ''Loko'' drafted him but he's also familiar with the teams head coach Craig MacTavish who was hired recently hired to lead the team. Anton Lander recently joined the Russian team as well and they hold open one import player spot.

While it's just speculation at this point - it's quite possible that things could escalate in that direction.
