The San Jose Sharks’ season may have wrapped up two weeks ago but fans still have a chance to see several of the team’s players in action at the World Hockey Championship, which began yesterday.
Noah Gregor is the only player from the Sharks on Team Canada, marking his first appearance at the tournament.
Tomas Hertl and Radim Simek will both be participating as well, representing Czechia. Hertl will be playing in the tournament for the fourth time, while Simek is playing in the tournament for the third time.
Joachim Blichfeld is making his first appearance at the tournament, representing Denmark, while Rudolfs Balcers and Timo Meier are each playing in the tournament for the third time, with Balcers representing Latvia and Meier representing Switzerland.
The United States has by far the most players from the Sharks on their roster, with four. Thomas Bordeleau, Jaycob Megna and Stauss Mann will all be making their first appearance at the tournament, while Sasha Chmelevski is playing in the tournament for the second time.
The event will run until May 29 and takes place in Finland.
