Goaltender Anton Forsberg will be heading to the Winnipeg Jets, after being claimed off waivers from the Carolina Hurricanes.

It was a strange few days for Forsberg, who was set to start the season in the Edmonton Oilers organization, but was then claimed off waivers by the Hurricanes. Two days after being claimed, however, the Hurricanes put Forsberg on waivers again and the goaltender was then claimed by the Winnipeg Jets. As a result, the Hurricanes now have two goalies on their roster, along with Alex Nedeljkovic on their taxi squad.

In other news, captain Jordan Staal has been placed on the league’s COVID-19 Protocol list and will be unavailable for tonight's game against the Detroit Red Wings. As a result, Morgan Geekie has been called up from the taxi squad and will be in the lineup tonight.
