The Anaheim Ducks announced today that they’ve hired Pat Verbeek as the team’s new General Manager.
Verbeek has been the assistant general manager for the Detroit Red Wings since 2019 and was also the general manager of the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins. This came after he spent time as the assistant general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning, as well as the director of player personnel. He also played 1424 NHL games himself with five different NHL teams, winning a Stanley Cup with the Dallas Stars in 1999.
Verbeek takes over from Jeff Soloman, who was the team’s interim general manager after longtime GM Bob Murray resigned following an investigation of his professional conduct.
