The Anaheim Ducks announced today that they’ve named Scott Niedermayer as Special Advisor to Hockey Operations.

Niedermayer spent 18 years in the NHL, with the last five being with Anaheim. He won four Stanley Cups, with his final Cup coming in 2007 with the Ducks, and he also spent time as the team’s captain. Niedermayer was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013.

Since retiring, Niedermayer has spent time in various roles with the Ducks, from consultant, to assistant coach, to development coach.
