The Anaheim Ducks signed sixth-overall pick Jamie Drysdale to an entry-level contract yesterday.

Drysdale has spent the last two seasons with the OHL’s Erie Otters and last season, he scored 47 points in 49 games. He’s likely to return to the Otters, once the OHL season begins.

I’ve spoken about this before but I’d imagine Drysdale will have a good shot of making the NHL in the 2021-22 season. However, his entry-level contract could potentially slide twice, should he spend the next two years in junior.

Here’s today’s poll question (results and discussion will be posted in a future article):

Does Jamie Drysdale have a shot at winning a spot with the Ducks this season?
Yes
No
