The Anaheim Ducks completed two trades today, dealing defenseman Hampus Lindholm to the Boston Bruins, and sending forward Nicolas Deslauriers to the Minnesota Wild.

In exchange for Lindholm, the Ducks received a first-round pick in 2022, second-round picks in both 2023 and 2024, and defensemen Urho Vaakanainen and John Moore, while defenseman Kodie Curran will also be heading to the Bruins. Lindholm is 28 years old and spent his entire career with Anaheim to this point, scoring 222 points in 582 games. His contract expires this summer and the Ducks will be retaining 50 per cent of Lindholm's remaining salary.

The Ducks got back a 2023 third-round pick for Nicolas Deslauriers from the Wild. Deslauriers is 31 years old and scored five goals and 10 points in 61 games with the Ducks this season, and is also set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The Ducks got back an absolute haul of picks here, and it’s a pretty great return for them on both deals. Especially with Lindholm though, it’s a huge return to build for the future.

Articles with more in-depth breakdowns on all the trades will be posted over the next week.
