The Anaheim Ducks didn’t move up or down in tonight’s NHL Draft Lottery and as a result, they'll select 10th overall in the 2022 NHL Draft.
The Ducks had a 3.5 per cent chance of winning the first-overall pick. This marks Anaheim’s latest first pick in four years, after the Ducks selected Trevor Zegras ninth-overall in 2019, Jamie Drysdale sixth-overall in 2020 and Mason McTavish third-overall last year. The team also selected Brayden Tracey with the 29th-overall pick in 2019 and Jacob Perreault with the 27th-overall pick in 2020, and have Boston’s first-round pick in this year’s draft as well.
As the organization continues to build for the future, making the right selection again is a key step for the rebuild. The draft will take place in Montreal on July 7 and 8.
