The NHL announced today that San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane has been suspended 21 games for violating the NHL’s COVID-19 protocols. Kane had submitted a fake COVID-19 vaccination card.
Kane has been in headlines through much of the offseason and had been under investigation by the league for betting on games, for which he was cleared. In a separate investigation, the league also stated that allegations of domestic abuse, made by his estranged wife, Anna, could not be substantiated.
Kane also submitted a statement regarding the suspension. He’d be eligible to return to the Sharks’ lineup on November 30.
