Faber was selected 45th overall by the Kings in this year’s NHL Draft and is in his first NCAA season with the University of Minnesota. He still has another year of eligibility remaining for the tournament, so even if he doesn’t crack the lineup this year, it’s still possible for him to represent the United States next year.
Kaliyev was selected 33rd overall by the Kings in the 2019 NHL Draft. The winger had 44 goals and 98 points in 57 OHL games last season and was also a member of USA’s 2020 World Junior team, with whom he scored four goals and six points in five games.
Turcotte was also selected in last year’s NHL Draft, going fifth overall to the Kings. Like Kaliyev, he’s a returning player, though he will be looking for a better showing time around, after going goalless with just two assists in five games in last year’s tournament.
