There were notable updates regarding two of the Anaheim Ducks’ defensemen yesterday.
First, Hampus Lindholm will be out six weeks with a fractured wrist. Lindholm has averaged more ice time at even strength than any other player on the Ducks and had two goals and six points in 18 games to start the season. If there was any hope for the season and any hesitancy to be a seller at the deadline, Lindholm’s injury should seal the deal.
INJURY UPDATE: Ducks defenseman Hampus Lindholm suffered a fractured left wrist on Feb. 27 vs. Vegas. He is expected to make a full recovery and return to action in approximately six weeks.https://t.co/sEZls9X7nZ
Next, Brendan Guhle was placed on waivers yesterday and cleared today. Guhle hasn’t played a game with the Ducks this season but did play five games with the AHL’s San Diego Gulls on a conditioning stint. Guhle had missed time to start the year, while dealing with a knee injury. I thought there was a decent chance someone would claim him but lucky for the Ducks, he’s not going anywhere.

Are you surprised Brendan Guhle wasn't claimed off waivers?
