The Carolina Hurricanes announced today that Michael Futa will be joining the organization as Senior Consultant to the General Manager.

Futa spent 13 years with the Los Angeles Kings, serving in many roles, most recently as assistant general manager. He was with the Kings for their Stanley Cup wins in both 2012 and 2014 and left the team last year.

“Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our front office,” Waddell said in a statement released by the Hurricanes. “He knows what it takes to build a championship-caliber team, and we’re excited to add him to our organization.”
