The Carolina Hurricanes have placed forward Clark Bishop on waivers, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Bishop is 24 years old and spent the majority of the 2019-20 season with the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers, where he scored six goals and 19 points in 53 games. He also played five games with the Hurricanes and has played a total of 23 career NHL games, scoring one goal and four points.

Bishop has one more year remaining on his deal, before becoming a restricted free agent. He was left off Carolina’s training camp roster and should he clear waivers, Bishop will likely start the season in the AHL.
