The Carolina Hurricanes have signed prospect Seth Jarvis to a three-year entry-level contract, with an AAV of $925,000.

Jarvis was selected 13th overall by the Hurricanes in the first round of this year’s NHL Draft. He spent last season with the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks, where he scored an impressive 42 goals and 98 points in 58 games.

The contract could slide up to two times, should Jarvis not play with the Hurricanes this season or for the 2021-22 season. With the signing, Jarvis becomes the second prospect from the 2020 draft class to sign with the Hurricanes, behind second-round pick Vasiliy Ponomarev.
