The Carolina Hurricanes’ game scheduled for tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers has been postponed.

The announcement was made yesterday and the decision comes as a result of COVID issues with the Flyers. As of now, Carolina’s next game is scheduled for Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In other news, Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour has been named as the Metropolitan Division’s head coach for All-Star Weekend, which takes place February 4-5. Brind’Amour is in his fourth season as the Hurricanes’ head coach and is the reigning Jack Adams Award winner. Carolina currently has the best points percentage in the NHL.

The three other coaches selected were Jared Bednar of the Colorado Avalanche, Andrew Brunette of the Florida Panthers and Peter DeBoer of the Vegas Golden Knights.
