With the NHL announcing that the regular season schedule will only resume on Monday, Dec. 27 after tonight, the New York Islanders’ game against the Washington Capitals scheduled for Thursday has been postponed.
This comes after New York’s game against the Montreal Canadiens (originally scheduled for yesterday) was postponed due to the pause on games involving cross-border travel. As a result, the Islanders’ next game will come on Dec. 27 against the Buffalo Sabres.
New York enters the break sitting 12th in the Eastern Conference in points percentage through 26 games, holding a 8-12-6 record.
