The Anaheim Ducks will be without forward Jakob Silfverberg for the remainder of the season, as the team announced yesterday that Silfverberg will be out for 4-6 months after undergoing hip surgery.
As has been the case for just about the entire team, it was a relatively disappointing season for Silfverberg. While he was still relatively reliable defensively, he saw a decline in offensive production, scoring just eight goals and 16 points in 47 games, a pace of 14 goals and 28 points per 82 games.
Based on the timeline for recovery, there’s a good chance that Silfverberg will be ready to go for the start of next season.
