The Los Angeles Kings announced today that they’ve acquired forward Viktor Arvidsson from the Nashville Predators, in exchange for a second-round pick in this year’s NHL Draft and a third-round pick in next year’s draft.
🚨TRADE ALERT 🚨 The LA Kings have acquired forward Viktor Arvidsson from the Nashville Predators in exchange for their second-round selection in the 2021 NHL Draft and third-round selection in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Arvidsson is 28 years old and is coming off a season in which he scored 10 goals and 25 points in 50 games, a pace of 16 goals and 41 points per 82 games. He has three years remaining on his contract at a $4.25 million AAV.
Despite the trade, Los Angeles still has a pick in the second round of this year’s draft and a third-round pick in next year’s draft, due to trades involving Alec Martinez and Jeff Carter.
I’ll provide a full analysis of the trade in an article tomorrow.
