The Los Angeles Kings picked up a 4-0 win over the Minnesota Wild last night and have now earned five of a possible six points over their last three games.
The Kings had a great start, outshooting the Wild 9-3 in the first period and not really giving up any quality scoring chances. Despite giving up some good chances in the second period, the Kings went into the third period with a two-goal lead and this time, they were able to hang on and secure the victory.
This was another really strong game from Jaret Anderson-Dolan. His offensive upside was put on display in the Kings' second goal, when he carried the puck nearly the length of the ice, before making a great pass to an open Trevor Moore. It’s early but he seems to be fitting in very well so far and has certainly earned his spot in the lineup. Additionally, I’m just repeating myself, but that line looks great and should stay together in the bottom-six.
The Kings had a decent game defensively but Jonathan Quick did have to make some pretty great saves as the game went on. His stats may not show it but Quick has been very good at times this season.
It was a strong performance from the Kings and hopefully they can keep this hot streak going, with some important games coming up against the Arizona Coyotes.
