The Los Angeles Kings announced yesterday that they’ve re-signed forward Trevor Moore to a two-year contract, which carries a $1.88 million cap hit.

Moore is 26 years old and was originally acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs last year. In his first full season with the Kings, he scored 10 goals and 23 points in 56 games, a pace of 15 goals and 34 points per 82 games. Moore will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the contract.

I don’t think you can complain much about this contract, which should bring good value for two seasons. Ideally it would’ve carried a bit more term but overall, it’s a fair deal for both sides.

The Kings also completed a four-player deal with the Arizona Coyotes, trading away Cole Hults and Boko Imama, in exchange for Brayden Burke and Tyler Steenbergen.

Hults was originally drafted by the Kings in 2017, while Imama was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning in the same year. Both players spent the 2020-21 season with the AHL's Ontario Reign.

Burke and Steenbergen are both forwards who spent this past season in the AHL with the Tucson Roadrunners. Burke is 24 years old and scored a goal and 14 points in 28 games, while Steenbergen is 23 years old and had 10 goals and 13 points in 36 games.
