The Los Angeles Kings have selected forward Quinton Byfield with the second-overall pick in the NHL Draft.

Byfield had 32 goals and 82 points in 45 games with the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves. It remains to be seen as to whether or not he will start in the NHL right away, however, Byfield certainly projects as a potential top-line center in the NHL.

We figured it would be down to either Byfield or Tim Stutzle to go at second overall and Byfield is sure to be a key piece for the Kings for many, many years to come.
