The Los Angeles Kings unveiled their Reverse Retro alternate jersey today, shown below.

The jersey is a remix of the Kings’ black and white jersey, which was introduced in the 1989-90 season. However, the black and white has been replaced with purple and gold, as a callback to the team’s original colours.

Generally, the jersey has received a positive response so far and I have to agree. It pays homage to the team’s early days and the purple and gold are so different from the black and white that it makes for a great contrast between jerseys. Of all the jerseys released today, I have to say this is one of my favourites.
