The Anaheim Ducks made eight selections at this year’s NHL Draft, which took place on Thursday and Friday.

The Ducks selected four forwards, three defensemen and one goalie. Here’s a recap of their selections.

PAVEL MINTYUKOV (1ST ROUND, 10TH OVERALL)- Mintyukov was the Ducks’ top pick in this year's draft and was the fourth defenseman taken overall. Mintyukov produced at a great rate this season and scored 17 goals and 62 points in 67 games. He immediately becomes one of the organization’s top prospects.

NATHAN GAUCHER (1ST ROUND, 22ND OVERALL)- Gaucher stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 207 pounds. He didn’t post excellent point totals in his second QMJHL season with 57 points in 66 games but he can certainly score, managing 31 goals.

NOAH WARREN (2ND ROUND, 42ND OVERALL)- Warren is big, right-handed defenseman, standing at 6-foot-5. This past season, he managed 24 points in 62 games with the QMJHL’s Gatineau Olympiques.

TRISTAN LUNEAU (2ND ROUND, 53RD OVERALL)- Yet another right-shot defenseman from the Gatineau Olympiques, Luneau produced at an impressive rate, scoring 12 goals and 43 points in 63 games.

BEN KING (4TH ROUND, 107TH OVERALL)- The Ducks’ next pick didn’t come for over 50 selections but with it, they chose King, who had been passed over in recent drafts. The forward was in his final year of CHL eligibility (before overage status) and scored a massive 52 goals and 105 points in 68 games with the WHL’s Red Deer Rebels.

CONNOR HVIDSTON (5TH ROUND, 139TH OVERALL)- Hvidston is coming off just his first year of junior hockey, playing with the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos. He scored 13 goals and 32 points in 58 games this season.

MICHAEL CALLOW (5TH ROUND, 154TH OVERALL)- Callow stands at 6-foot-4 and played high school hockey this year. He managed 26 goals and 41 points in 25 games with St. Sebastian’s School.

VYACHESLAV BUTEYETS- (6TH ROUND, 178TH OVERALL)- The Ducks also continued to add more organizational depth in net, taking goalie Vyacheslav Buteyets. The netminder is 20 years old and has spent his entire career in Russia so far, splitting the season between the MHL and VHL.
