Every article, I try to include a poll question for readers to vote on, then review the results from the week’s polls every weekend. It's been a while since I've done a review, but here are the poll results from the last few weeks and my thoughts on how they turned out.

QUESTION: How many points do you expect from Marcus Sorensen next season?

(Votes: 49)

20-25 points: 49%
Less than 20 points: 24%
More than 30 points: 14%
25-30 points: 12%

I’m definitely with the 73 per cent of voters who said that Sorensen won’t pass 25 points next season. It took a ridiculous shooting percentage for him to hit 30 points in the 2018-19 season and we can’t expect to see those numbers from him again.

QUESTION: Do you think Antti Suomela will earn a permanent spot with the Sharks next season?

(Votes: 70)

No: 59%
Yes: 41%

Assuming Suomela does return to the Sharks organization, I think whether or not he’s able to crack the lineup next year will depend on his training camp. San Jose needs to improve in the bottom-six and Suomela needs to show that he can help with that.

QUESTION: Do you think Joe Thornton will be back with the Sharks next season?

(Votes: 180)

No: 62%
Yes: 38%

To me, I think this is a 50/50 chance. Assuming he does play, he may sign with a contender if he gets the opportunity, especially based on his comments regarding not being moved at the trade deadline. That said, I think there's still a really strong chance that he returns to San Jose as well.
