Every article, I try to include a poll question for readers to vote on, then review the results from the week’s polls every weekend. Here are this week’s poll results and my thoughts on how they turned out.
QUESTION: Should the Kings have traded Trevor Lewis at the trade deadline?

Yes: 56%
The return wouldn’t have been good enough to make it worthwhile: 35%
No: 9%
We don’t know how much of an attempt the Kings made to deal Lewis. That said, it was reported that teams were interested and it probably would’ve been a better idea for the Kings to just take whatever they could get, rather than likely letting him walk as a free agent.
QUESTION: How many points do you expect from Blake Lizotte next season?

30-40 points: 58%
Less than 30 points: 33%
More than 40 points: 9%
I think this one really depends on what kind of role Lizotte is used in next season. If he’s centering the third line, he could probably end up between 35-40 points. On the fourth line, however, which is perhaps the more likely spot for him, he may fail to hit 30 points, just based on having a smaller role.
QUESTION: Do you think Matt Luff will earn a permanent spot with the Kings next season?

Well, a whole lot of people think I won’t get my wish for Luff to get an extended chance in the NHL next season. On the other hand though, that just means the Kings have enough quality players that they don’t have the room for him. But I’ll still be rooting for Luff in training camp.
