The Anaheim Ducks announced yesterday that they’ve named Martin Madden as the team’s new assistant general manager.

Madden has spent the last 12 seasons with the Ducks as the team’s Director of Amateur Scouting. He had previously spent 10 years split between the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers as a Scout as well.

General Manager Bob Murray is under contract until 2022 and it’ll be interesting to see if Madden could end up taking over responsibilities from Murray at some point down the line.
