The San Jose Sharks acquired goaltender Alex Stalock from the Edmonton Oilers last night, in exchange for future considerations.
Stalock is 34 years old and has 151 career games of NHL experience, posting a .909 save percentage. He spent the majority of his career with the Sharks organization, from the time he was drafted by San Jose in 2005, until he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2016. His most recent NHL game came on March 7, 2020, playing with the Minnesota Wild.
The move comes after James Reimer was injured yesterday. With Adin Hill out as well, the Sharks are in need of goaltending depth and we can expect Stalock to get into games for San Jose.
