The San Jose Sharks announced today that they’ve re-signed forward Noah Gregor to a one-year contract. The cap hit for the deal will be $750,000, according to CapFriendly.com.
Gregor spent the majority of the season with the Sharks, scoring five goals and six points in 30 games. He also played 10 games with the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda, scoring three goals and nine points in 10 games.
The next step for the forward would be to earn a full-time spot in the Sharks’ lineup. Gregor is still just 23 years old and despite not having much of a role when he did play with the team, he could fight for a role in the bottom-six.
In a separate piece of news, the Sharks also placed forward Vladislav Kotkov on unconditional waivers over the weekend, for the purpose of contract termination. Kotkov had originally signed with the Sharks in 2018.
