Sharks sign Nick Bonino, Andrew Cogliano and James Reimer

The San Jose Sharks have opened free agency with three signings, adding forwards Nick Bonino and Andrew Cogliano, as well as goaltender James Reimer.

Bonino is 33 years old and scored 10 goals and 26 points in 55 games with the Minnesota Wild this season, a pace 15 goals and 39 points per 82 games. His deal is two years in length and will carry a $2.05 million AAV.


Cogliano is 34 years old and last season, he scored five goals and 11 points in 54 games with the Dallas Stars. His deal is for one year and carries a $1 million cap hit.

Reimer has spent the last two years with the Carolina Hurricanes and this season, he posted a .906 save percentage in 22 games. He’s 33 years old and his contract will also be two years long, carrying a $2.25 million AAV.


The Sharks also acquired forward Lane Pederson from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round pick. The team then signed him to a two-year contract, which carries a $750,000 cap hit.

On another note, Martin Jones, who was recently bought out by the Sharks, has signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.
