The Anaheim Ducks played three games last week and have reassigned a key forward to the AHL. Here’s a recap of news and notes from the week.
DUCKS LOSE ALL THREE GAMES
The Ducks lost all three of their games last week, falling to the Colorado Avalanche on Monday, before being swept in a two-game series against the Arizona Coyotes.
RAKELL AND STEEL PLACED ON INJURED RESERVE
Forwards Rickard Rakell and Sam Steel were both placed on injured reserve last week. Rakell was injured in a collision in a game against the St. Louis Blues on March 28, While Steel also missed all three of Anaheim’s games last week with an undisclosed injury.
GIBSON RETURNS TO LINEUP
John Gibson returned to the Ducks’ lineup last night in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Coyotes. He had played in only one game in the three previous weeks.
DUCKS ASSIGN ZEGRAS TO AHL
Forward Trevor Zegras will return to the AHL’s San Diego Gulls, where he will transition to playing center. Zegras had seven points in 17 games with the Ducks.
