The San Jose Sharks played two games last week, with another game being cancelled due to COVID Protocols. Here’s a recap of news and notes from last week.
SHARKS LOSE BOTH GAMES, ONE GAME POSTPONED
San Jose lost both of their games last week, falling 6-2 to the Minnesota Wild, before losing 7-6 to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday. Their game against the Vegas Golden Knights, which had been scheduled for Thursday, was postponed as a result of COVID Protocols.
HERTL PLACED ON COVID PROTOCOL LIST
Forward Tomas Hertl was placed on the league’s COVID Protocol list and missed San Jose’s game against the Blues. He was the only player on the team to be placed on the Protocol list.
NOESEN CLEARS WAIVERS
Forward Stefan Noesen was placed on waivers last week and cleared the following day. Noesen has since been placed on the team’s taxi squad.
KARLSSON AND SIMEK RETURN FROM INJURIES
Both Erik Karlsson and Radim Simek returned to the Sharks’ lineup in Saturday’s game against St. Louis. Each player had missed four games with their respective injury.
