2015-16 FLYERS BROADCAST SCHEDULE

The Philadelphia Flyers announced their television and radio broadcast schedules for the 2015-16 regular season. On the television side, 60 of the team's 82 games will air on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia plus 11 others on The Comcast Network Philadelphia. The Flyers will have nine games on NBC Sports Network and two on NBC.

On the radio side, there will be 58 games on 97.5 The Fanatic. On the 24 occasions when a 76ers game overlaps with a Flyers game, the Flyers radio broadcast will move to 93.3 WMMR.

Three preseason games (Sept. 20 vs. the New York Rangers, Sept. 25 vs. the New York Islanders and Sept. 30 vs. the New Jersey Devils) will be televised on TCN Philadephia. Five preseason games will have radio broadcasts on The Fanatic. Both matches of the split-squad preseason games in Brooklyn and Allentown on Sept. 21 will have radio broadcasts; the game in Brooklyn will be on 97.5 while the local radio broacast venue for the game at PPL Center has yet to be determined. Finally, the Oct. 2 preseason game in Newark against the New Jersey Devils will be broacast on WMMR.

The broadcasting crews will remain the same. Jim Jackson, Keith Jones, Bill Clement and Chris Therien (rinkside) handle all CSN and TCN television play-by-play and color commentary duties. Tim Saunders and Steve Coates are the radio team.

On Tuesday, the Flyers also announced the expansion of their radio flagship network into the Atlantic City, NJ area. The games will be available via Townsquare Media’s 97.3 ESPN and sister station WPG Talk Radio 1450 AM (WPGG-AM).

TODAY IN FLYERS HISTORY FROM FlyersAlumni.org: AUGUST 26

1987: The Flyers made one of the most ill-fated trades in franchise history. In the midst of a
second straight contract squabble with Brad McCrimmon, general manager Bob Clarke trades a 1989 first-round pick (later traded to Toronto along with an additional first-rounder for goaltender Ken Wregget) and a 1988 third-round pick (with which the Flyers selected goalie Dominic Roussel).

2014: The Flyers re-sign restricted free agent defenseman Brandon Manning to a one-year, two-way contract. Eligible for unrestricted free agency in the summer of 2015, Manning subsequently signs a one-year, one-way extension.

Flyers Birthday

Current Flyers power forward right winger Wayne Simmonds celebrates his 27th birthday today.
