Preview: Flyers @ Carolina

The Philadelphia Flyers (7-7-1) are in Raleigh on Wednesday to play the Carolina Hurricanes (9-6-0). Game time at PNC Arena is 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Flyers enter this game coming off a 4-2 road win in Los Angeles on Saturday. Two-point games from Morgan Frost (two goals), Owen Tippett (one goal, one assist) and Sean Walker (two assists) paced Philadelphia offensively in this game. The Flyers also got a goal from Cam Atkinson for valuable third period insurance. Cal Petersen stopped 35 of 37 shots to earn the win in goal.

On Tuesday, the Flyers sent Petersen and defensemen Victor Mete to the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Carter Hart (illness over the weekend) feels fine now and will return to the net to start against the Hurricanes. Egor Zamula, a healthy scratch in Los Angeles, will return to the starting lineup.

Bobby Brink was a healthy scratch on Saturday with Frost, Sean Couturier and Ryan Poehling all in the same lineup for the first time since the Oct. 14 game in Ottawa. Additionally, Poehling was moved up to the third line with Noah Cates moving down to center Nic Deslauriers and Garnet Hathaway. Tortorella was noncommittal after Tuesday's practice regarding personnel and combinations for Wednesday.

The Hurricanes are undefeated so far on home ice, going 4-0-0. Overall, the club has won six of its last 10 games.

Carolina enters this game coming off a 4-0 shutout road win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. Pyotr Kochetkov recorded a 22-save shutout. Carolina received goals from Teräväinen (PPG, 9th), Aho (4th), Brent Burns (3rd) and Noesen (4th).
