Game 57 Preview: Flyers @ Panthers

Mike Yeo's Philadelphia Flyers (18-28-10) begin a two-game road trip on Thursday with a game in Sunrise, Fla., against Andrew Brunette's Florida Panthers (39-13-5). Game time at FLA Live Arena is 7:00 p.m. ET (NBCSP, 93.3 WMMR).

This is the second of three meetings between the teams this season. The Flyers are 0-1-1 in the two games to date: a 4-2 home loss on Oct. 23 and a 2-1 overtime road defeat on Nov. 24. Florida's Jonathan Huberdeau, who is currently one point behind Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl in the Art Ross Trophy race, has posted four points (2g, 2a) in the two previous meetings with the Flyers.

The Flyers, who went 3-4-1 during a franchise record eight-game homestand, enter this match having won back-to-back games for the first time since Jan. 29 and Feb. 1. On Tuesday, the Flyers needed 47 saves by Carter Hart plus 23 blocked shots by the skaters in front of him to defeat the Vegas Golden Knights, 2-1.

The Panthers, who have won four games in a row and are 7-3-0 over their last 10, skated to a 4-3 road win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the Flyers recalled defenseman Cam York from the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He will be in the starting lineup in Florida. The only lineup spot that's in question heading into this game is whether Gerry Mayhew or Max Willman will start on left wing on Patrick Brown's line. Mayhew filled in at practice for Cam Atkinson (maintenance day) on Derick Brassard's line.
