* 1979: The Flyers sign 1979 first-round pick Brian Propp to an NHL contract. He'd go on to post 34 goals and 75 points as a rookie in 1979-80. At the time, it was a Flyers rookie record. As of the end of the 2022-23 season, the top five rookie scoring seasons in Flyers history are as follows: Mikael Renberg in 1993-94 (38 goals, 44 assists, 82 points), Dave Poulin in 1983-84 (31 goals, 45 assists, 76 points), Eric Lindros in just 61 games played in 1992-93 (41 goals, 34 assists, 75 points), Propp in 1979-80, and Ron Flockhart in 1981-82 (33 goals, 39 assists, 72 points).
* 1995: The Flyers trade unsigned restricted free agent defenseman Dmitri Yushkevich and a 1996 second-round pick to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 1996 first-round pick (Dainius Zubrus), a 1997 second-round pick (goalie Jean-Marc Pelletier) and a 1996 fourth-round pick that originally belonged to the LA Kings.
* 2020: In Game 4 of the 2020 Eastern Conference semifinal, the Flyers sustain a 3-2 loss to the New York Islanders in the bubble in Toronto. Brian Elliott makes 18 first period saves to keep the game scoreless. In the second period, the Flyers enjoy a 17-3 shot on goal advantage but Thomas Greiss turns aside 16 shots and the game heads to the third period tied at 1-1 on goals by Brock Nelson and Sean Couturier. The third period is evenly played but the Islanders grab a 3-1 lead on tallies by J.G. Pageau and Nelson. The Flyers get a late goal back courtesy of Ivan Provorov but Philly is unable to force overtime. The Islanders take a three games to one lead in the series.
