1) World Junior Summer Showcase: Team USA has, as planned, combined its USA Blue and USA White squads into a single roster for the rest of the exhibition series. Today, Team USA will take on Finland (4 p.m. EDT) at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Through his first two games, Heikki Ruohonen has two assists. He had a breakaway chance last game against USA Blue but was unable to finish it. Noah Powell had one assist and four penalty minutes in USA Blue's two games.

2) Coming later today on PhiladelphiaFlyers.com: An "inside the numbers" look at the Flyers 2024-25 home schedule, looking at thing such as the longest homestands of the upcoming season, the number of afternoon vs. evening home games, the official first-ever game against the Utah Hockey club (formerly the Arizona Coyotes and, before that, the original Winnipeg Jets), and More.

3) July 31 in Flyers History: On July 31, 2001, the Flyers trade offensive defenseman Andy Delmore to the Nashville Predators for a 2002 third round pick (later traded to the then Phoenix Coyotes and used on the selection of Joe Callahan).

Delmore posts 16 goals and 34 points in his first season with Nashville and 18 goals and 34 points his second year as a third-pairing bluelineer and power play regular. He later briefly plays for the Buffalo Sabres and Columbus Blue Jackets before spending remainder of his playing days in the American Hockey League, Germany's DEL and top leagues in Austria and Italy.
