Wrap: Flyers Beat LA, 4-2
The Philadelphia Flyers earned a 4-2 road win over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday evening at Crypto.com Arena. The Flyers were heavily outshot and outchanced, especially in the second period, but never trailed at any point of the game.
Two-point games from Morgan Frost (two goals), Owen Tippett (one goal, one assist) and Sean Walker (two assists) paced Philadelphia offensively in this game. The Flyers also got a goal from Cam Atkinson for valuable third period insurance. Cal Petersen stopped 35 of 37 shots to earn the win in goal.
Los Angeles received a second period goal from Carl Grundström, cutting a 3-0 deficit to two goals. In the third period, Adrian Kempe reduced a 4-1 Flyers lead to 4-2 but the Flyers closed out the game successfully. The Kings hurt their own cause with a too-many-men-on-the-ice penalty and a high sticking double minor on Travis Moore in the latter half of the third period. Cam Talbot took the loss in goal, stopping 22 of 26 shots.
The Flyers went 0-for-4 on the power play, but 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.

Philadelphia, after an off day, will return back east to finish their four-game road trip. Next Wednesday, the Flyers (7-7-1) will be in Raleigh to take on Rod Brind'Amour's Caroiina Hurricanes (9-6-0).

Phantoms Fall to Hershey, 2-0
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms (4-6-2) suffered a 2-0 home shutout loss on Saturday evening at the hands of the Hershey Bears (9-3-0). A mid-first period tally by former Phantoms/Flyers forward Mike Vecchione and a tally by Pierrick at 10:07 of the second period stood the rest of the way.
The Phantoms put 24 shots on goal to Hershey's 21, but Lehigh Valley was unable to get a puck past Clay Stevenson. Parker Gahagen stopped 19 of 21 shots on a losing cause for the Phantoms.
Lehigh Valley went 0-for-2 on the power play and 2-for-2 on the power play. At 1:58 of the second period, Phantoms defenseman Ronnie Attard dropped the gloves and fought Hershey's Dmitry Osipov. The fight was in defense of Elliot Desnoyers, who had to leave the game as a result of a high hit the much bigger Osipov laid on him.
The Phantoms had a golden chance to cut the gap to one goal during an early third period power play but were unable to make headway. With just over six minutes left in the game, Emil Andrae was sent off on a slashing minor. The Phantoms got through the kill but lost valuable time on the clock. Eleven of Lehigh Valley's 24 shots for the game came in the final period.
The Phantoms and Bears will rematch in Hershey on Sunday. Game time is 3:00 p.m. ET. The game will streamed on AHLTV (subscription required). The Phantoms' starting lineup from Saturday's game is listed below:
